What is Pharmacovigilance?

Pharmacovigilance is the process used to identify and reduce harm from medicines once they are used by the general population. It includes collecting, assessing, monitoring, and preventing adverse events and medication errors. Reporting suspected side effects helps improve medicine safety for everyone.

  • Stop the medicine if any adverse. In case of allergic reactions – call emergency services.

  • Contact your healthcare provider to discuss symptoms and next steps.

  • Report the suspected adverse event to Caliph Pharma and to the national pharmacovigilance authority. Timely reporting helps protect others. Reporting should be made as soon as possible or within 24 hours for serious events.

  • Through your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse — they can forward the report Include: product name, dose, treatment dates, detailed description of the event, patient age/gender, reporter contact details, and any other medicines being taken.

An adverse event is any unwanted medical problem that happens after taking a medicine. It might or might not be caused by the medicine. Report all suspected events — even if you are unsure.

Anyone — patients, caregivers, family members, and healthcare professionals can report suspected adverse events.

Report serious reactions immediately or within 24 hours of becoming aware of the event. For non-serious reactions, report as soon as convenient.

Include product name, dose, start/end dates, description of the event (symptoms and start date), patient age/gender, other medicines taken, and your contact details. The more details you provide, the faster we can investigate.

No. Reporting is confidential and will not affect your medical care. Personal data is handled according to applicable privacy laws and only used for safety evaluation.
